It's so good at making learning theory fun - for children from around 8 to 12 I'd say.
If I'm being fussy, the layout could be a bit better, it looks quite 'busy'.

This is, without doubt the most fun series of Theory books ever! I really enjoy marking them even after nearly 30 years of teaching! Bravo!!! Wish they went higher up the grades!!!

This is an excellent book for young children starting theory, and practical. It is packed with illustrations, games, and easy to use 'notice boards' for information. Everything is clearly laid out and this has been a roaring success with my students. Overall, I am sure there is something which could be improved (such as illustrations in colour), but it has been an effective teaching tool so far.

It seems a bit involved but could be worked in with a personal curriculum. Best for older pupils. No good for very young.

This book is supposed to be for pre Grade 1 ! - the content might be but there is SO much small writing on each page that younger pupils (which they usually are at this level )are completely thrown and lose interest immediately. The book was obviously written by someone who has had no experience of actually working with young children !.
