it doesnt attempt to teach chords which any keyboard player needs to understand. Instead it opts fot one finger chords which is an easy option but its not playing keyboard. I wasted my money

I'm a keyboard teacher and many of my pupils use this book. It's not ideal, but is one of the best on the market. It's well laid out and the progression is good so most beginners don't find it too hard and can move quickly through it. The CD/DVD are good, but there's no option to buy book-only, making it rather costly. Unfortunately, the material is rather old-fashioned, the letter names are written in inhibiting learning to read music, and almost everything starts from C major. So I would only partially recommend it.
