Baron Wolman is an American photo-journalist who began his professional photographic career in Berlin as the wall was being built. Returning from Germany in the mid-sixties, he was recruited by Rolling Stone magazine co-founder, Jann Wenner, to be the magazine's first chief photographer.
In that position, he was granted unique photographic access to rock 'n' roll's most celebrated and iconic musicians, from Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and The Rolling Stones to The Who and beyond.
