Jean-Pierre Couleau (b. 1948) studied at the Aix-en-Provence, Marseille and Versailles Conservatoires before devoting himself to teaching music, particularly jazz. He compiled Time for Music Education in 1984.
The first volume contains exercises on note names, note values, sight-singing, rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, articulation, time signatures and performance directions, among other aspects. Couleau's first volume of Time for Music Education is ideal for all beginners of music theory.
