Simple, easy to follow steps. Already bought the book previously but ordered again to get the CD version.
CD could be more interactive ie; stop, start, replay/repeat exercise.

Also could only find one YouTube video of author - more videos showing range of ability would be good.

The ringbinder format keeps book flat on the stand. Easy to understand layout. Most importantly it was recommended by my son's drum teacher.

A little bit dated now, but good for beginners to use in conjunction with a good teacher.

As a teacher I have used this book, along with others, for over 20 yrs and find it a great help! My pupils love the different rhythms included in the book and I can strongly recommend it, along with help from a good teacher!!!

I originally bought this item twenty years ago and started using it after having six months of drum lessons with a personal tutor. Over the next three months I learned far more and at my own pace than I could have ever learned with private lessons. It's a testament that my original copy was so well used that I had to buy a second copy! I can't rate this highly enough, 10 stars. and now with a CD too!

The book and cd arrived very quickly and in perfect condition,it was a present for my son who has just taken up playing the drums, he is very pleased with it. He has a friend who is an acomplised drummer who still refers to this title now after years of playing. Thanks very much for your service.

I bought this for my wife who is learning drums from scratch and think it's good value for money. The exercises are well laid out and start right from basics without pre-supposing any existing knowledge. It then covers quite a bit of ground up to where, presumably the second volume takes over. It's well written by someone who obviously knows his stuff for people with little or no musical backgound without being patronising. I'm not a drummer but play several other instruments and I think this book ranks with some of the better tutors I've seen and would imagine it's quite useful as a reference for any player up to intermediate level.
